5 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (July 6)

1. Up - The Third Fall

With the score tied at 1-1, the next team to score a fall would claim the NXT Tag Team Championships. With that in mind - and with more than 15 minutes of action already behind them - The Revival and American Alpha pulled out all of the stops. It didn't hurt that the fans were about as hot as wrestling crowds get, either.

Scott Dawson locked Jason Jordan in the inverted Figure Four Leglock once again, but this time, Chad Gable broke it up with a diving headbutt. Unfortunately, that took Jordan out of the match, leaving Gable to deal with the champions on his own. They fought to the apron and Gable tried to German suplex Dawson to the floor, but he held on to the ropes. Then, Dash Wilder joined the fray, and the pair managed to hit Gable with the Shatter Machine on the apron. Back inside, Dawson got the pin, giving the champs the match.

It was a great bout that lived up to the hype, making for a fantastic episode of NXT. And hey, no Authors of Pain!
