4. Way To Keep Champions Strong

Champions should not be completely unbeatable, but when your secondary champ loses three of his first four matches back from an “injury,” that’s not smart booking.

But United States Champion Andrade fell to Rey Mysterio Monday night, meaning his only televised win since returning several weeks ago was a US title defense against Humberto Carrillo.

Worse, the match itself was about as paint-by-numbers as it could get. Sure, it’s tough to say the match didn’t have any heat when there was no crowd, but it was a pretty pedestrian affair.

If we’re really steaming toward a fatal four-way match for the United States Championship at WrestleMania, they should be looking to juice things now rather than just putting a bland match on TV. Get Carrillo and Angel Garza involved now to mix it up and fire things up a bit.
