With Raw and its storylines sputtering left and right lately, we almost have to give credit whenever we have something going right, even if it’s not going all that great.

Elias and Bobby Lashley have had a months-long, on-and-off feud that has continued through a double-turn and is set for a confrontation at TLC on Sunday. But first, Elias faced Lashley’s hype man Lio Rush on Raw. The match was merely a backdrop for Lashley to interfere and beat Elias down, then smash a guitar across his back.

There wasn’t anything outstanding about this, but it furthered the development of Elias as a babyface taking shots at the vain villain Lashley and his loudmouth manager Rush. We’ll give points to Raw for this one as an inoffensive segment that helped set the table for a ladder match between the two at TLC (with a guitar suspended above the ring).
