Speaking of repeats that played before diminishing returns.

Actually, that's not true. Alexa Bliss running a 'This Is Your Life' send up on Bayley during the 29 May 2017 Raw wasn't just a case of diluted interest because The Rock and Mick Foley had beaten them to the punch in 1999. No, it was a segment so foul that even latter-day Vince McMahon ribbed Triple H about it during the pandemic era TVs in 2020. Think about that: The dude responsible for some of WWE's worst content thought 'This Is Your Life' sucked.

It did, but...yeah. This is 2020 McMahon we're talking about. Coming entries will make it clear how incredible it is that he was willing to rib anybody about anything. Poor Alexa too. She had to stand there and run through some of the weakest material known to man as fans yawned their way through the skit. If this was supposed to be funny, then the real joke was on WWE for thinking the interminable quarter hour would remind fans of the 'Attitude Era's' peak.

Bliss feigned shock and surprise as she brought out phoney folks from Bayley's past and tried to ridicule the 'girl next door' babyface for her formative years and career up until that point. It was awful. Truly, truly awful. Worse, 'This Is Your Life II' droned on and on and on, and was part of a story that saw Bayley refuse to use violence because she was "too nice".

Remind people again how this was supposed to get anyone over?
