6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Collision (March 16 - Results & Review)

2. Adam Copeland’s Spiky Promo!

Adam Copeland is superb at this intense, staring-down-the-lens promo stuff.

He didn't have a ton of time to work with at the tail end of Saturday's episode, but AEW left the former Edge enough minutes to get his point across. Copeland revealed that "Spike" is pretty much his version of Mick Foley's 2x4 with nails in it. Also, Adam said he spoke with Mick after losing to Christian Cage previously.

Copeland is bringing "Spike" to Dynamite for that big "I Quit" war with Cage too. It was interesting to hear Adam shout "I Quit" though - hope AEW doesn't go down that road by having Christian's crew play a recording to screw his former friend out of the match. Wrestling has previous with that idea, y'know!

This writer is getting ahead of himself there, but it's certainly possible. Adam's promo was strong though, and it held everyone's attention. There were no smart-arsed chants from the live crowd trolling him, or anything of the sort. That's sometimes a worry when wrestlers go hush hush and super-serious.
