6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (7 Oct - Results & Review)

At its core, there was nothing technically wrong with the 10-woman tag match. The execution was good, the action was constant, and the fans remained into much of it despite these women wrestling to some of the starkest silence in recent memory on Raw this fall.

However, the match was little more than parlor tricks: a seven-minute match for 10 women, with half of it playing out during a commercial, opening with a Pier Six brawl, and breaking down once again for the last 30 seconds before Lyra Valkyria put Sonya Deville down for the victory.

It felt like this was just a “get the women on TV” match, throwing everyone together in one bout, and giving them just enough screen time to be seen for a hot minute before the main event. (Wait, isn’t that AEW Dynamite’s shtick?)

Call this another victim of the two-hour Raw. Hopefully, they’ll figure out a better way to manage their time rather than trying to cram everything and shortchanging matches and segments.
