6 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Sacrifice 2021
Rich Swann vs. Moose > Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels.
Without being a biased Impact Wrestling supporter, the promotion legitimately put in a claim for both the 2021 Show of the Year and Match of the Year with Sacrifice and Rich Swann vs. Moose, respectively.
After getting through the opening slog of tag team matches, the latest Impact Plus special was one of their greatest offerings. You had a fun weapons match between Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards, two title changes that saw Ace Austin become a two-time X Division Champion and New Japan's FinJuice crowned World Tag Team Champions, the return of Rhino as he aligned with Violent By Design, and the small matter of a World Championship unification.
They're coming back to the top of professional wrestling.
Swann vs. Moose, as we'll speak about later on in great depth, will be remembered for years to come as the turning point for a lot of wrestling fans. Since Scott D'Amore and Don Callis took over the day-to-day operations of Impact Wrestling, the company has seen a significant rise in popularity. Some of the matches they've booked have been superb, but never on this level.
Impact have all the hype they need heading into Rebellion on 24 April. Headlining that show is Rich Swann vs. Kenny Omega in a title vs. title match. F*cking hell.
Let's get to it...
