6 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Sacrifice 2021

Ups...

6. Fire N Flava Get It Done

Of the five championship outings at Sacrifice, the Knockouts Tag Team Championships bout wasn't up to par with the others. Fire N Flava defending against Jordynne Grace and Jazz wasn't bad by any means; the competition was just extremely high.

Keep in mind, we had to have some sort of come down following the incredibly Brian Myers vs. Eddie Edwards bout, and thus, what the four produced was entirely acceptable for an Impact Plus special. Well, most of it was - Jazz sadly doesn't have much of it left anymore. This shows in abundance when she's in there with these three. Falling over after performing a bicycle kick, looking confused before deciding to tag in Jordynne, and being slow to move from a Tasha Steelz STF breakup were just some of her 'highlights'.

Luckily, she had the other three to carry the match for her. Fire N Flava were, in particular, exquisite during this match, with some innovative offence including a tree of woe stomp/Rude Awakening combination. Their match-ending flurry to 'Thicc Mama Pump', which culminated in a fisherman's neckbreaker, was great. It kept Grace looking strong as it took a plethora of moves to keep 'Thicc Mama Pump' down.

Again, this wasn't a bad match. It just wasn't up to scratch with Sacrifice's other title bouts. Fire N Flava's title reign needs to be a decent length of time - ideally until at least Slammiversary in the summer - and with a win over a former Knockouts Champion and a bonafide Hall of Famer, their reign now means something. No need for a rematch, though.
