6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (28 Oct - Results & Review)
Ups...
6. Short But Sweet Enough
After blasting matches starring the likes of War Raiders, Rey Mysterio and Damian Priest, it'll arguably come as a surprise to see one pitting Zelina Vega vs. Ivy Nile kick off the 'Ups'. Both women deserve it though, because this was absolutely a case of two workers maximising their minutes when they weren't one of Raw's biggest priorities.
Yes, it's also the kind of match you'll have forgotten by this time tomorrow, but it was important from the standpoint of giving Nile some more in-ring reps and the American Made team regaining momentum overall. This is Vega's lot in WWE these days too, which is perfectly fine. She's the ideal opponent for workers trying to improve like Ivy.
What resulted was a short match with a bit of story context that didn't outstay its welcome. It's honestly hard to argue against that sort of booking, and it was cool to see Nile show off some Chad Gable-style moves. Her German suplex is on course to being one of the best in pro wrestling.
Well played, Zelina and Ivy.
