With Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai already booking themselves a place in the Dusty Cup finals on last week's show, the final place in the TakeOver conclusion of the tournament would be decided between the teams of Shotzi Balckheart & Ember Moon and The Way's Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell.

LeRae and Blackheart have gone back-and-forth for the better part of the last six months, with the pair notably captaining a pair of rival squads at this year's War Games event. Renewing hostilities, the 'Poison Pixie' ripped and teared at Blackheart's distinct green locks, cutting off the fearless performer from her explosive partner.

The brutal punishment inflicted on Blackheart would continue for a spell, until Moon was finally introduced to the contest via hot tag, booting and drop-kicking her team back into a prominent position. LeRae and Hartwell would soon re-establish their dominance, though, with the former nailing Moon with a wicked hurricanrana onto her teammate on the outside.

However, the villainous duo would ultimately meet their ends on the back of an Eclipse to LeRae and Blackheart senton onto both of The Way members, with a bullet-taking Hartwell eating the pinfall loss.

An all-heel final wouldn't have made for much of a compelling end to the first-ever Women's Dusty Cup, so giving the babyface buddies the win here made all the sense in the world. Also, having Hartwell sacrifice herself to protect her mentor, whilst also simultaneously costing her team the match, was another intriguing layer of storytelling fused into the finish.
