7 New Directions For WWE After The Greatest Royal Rumble

1. Slow Burn Push Towards A Daniel Bryan Title Shot

There's no rush with Daniel Bryan's ascent back to World Title status, there really isn't.

If anything, it should be a slow-burning affair, one laced with hurdles the popular babyface must overcome if he's going to someday hold the WWE Title above his head again and rekindle the happiness of WrestleMania XXX. That doesn't mean the road to such a moment doesn't start now.

Bryan's performance in the Greatest Royal Rumble should have washed away any doubts from WWE about Daniel's health. He wrestled for well over an hour, took substantial punishment and still looked positively delighted in a post-match interview on WWE.com.

The next step with Bryan is booking him to beat Big Cass at Backlash, slotting him into a feud against someone he can work five-star matches with (Shinsuke Nakamura, Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, The Miz and even others like Shelton Benjamin and Andrade Almas are all candidates on SmackDown) then build him towards AJ Styles and the WWE Title.
