7 Options To End Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship Reign

Someone has to beat The Beast Incarnate, right?

Heading into WrestleMania 34, it seemed depressingly predictable that Roman Reigns was going to be the man to end Brock Lesnar’s year-plus reign as WWE Universal Champion. When The Big Dog failed on the Grandest Stage of Them All, the assumption was that his (latest) coronation would come in front of the Saudi royal family, at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah.

Roman failed in controversial circumstances in the Arabian desert, but that doesn’t change the fact that Brock Lesnar is still your reigning, defending WWE Universal Champion. Lesnar has held the title for over 400 days, and in truth he has rarely looked in trouble with it on the line. Can anyone beat the Beast Incarnate?

That is obviously a ridiculous question, as someone has to beat him. Lesnar isn’t going to hold the big red belt for the rest of time, as the lure of the UFC or a sudden burst of logical WWE booking is going to get in the way. Who should beat him? Anyone, but these guys have a better shot than most.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
