McIntyre was only 21 years of age when he first crossed the Atlantic to trade independent shows in the UK for the bright lights of WWE. That had to be an intimidating experience for the young Ayr, Scotland native, especially because he was the first from his country to do so. The pressure was on.

Admitting to feeling that immense pressure to Edge and Christian, Drew claimed he was always on edge and rarely took the time to stop and think about what he was doing. This led to the youngster throwing nonsensical elements or spots into his matches that didn't click with higher-ups backstage.

Finding it a challenge to just relax and enjoy his learning experience, McIntyre instead wanted everything to fall into place quickly. This created frustration when he felt ready for feuds against top names like The Undertaker, only to be told by Triple H and other management that he wasn't there yet.

Only now does Drew understand what they meant.
