5. This Just The Beginning For The Diamond Mine

After pulverising KUSHIDA during last week's show-closing segment, NXT's newest faction The Diamond Mine is now officially open. And looking to capitalise on becoming the talk of the town, Roderick Strong took on the unfortunate Asher Hale during last night's episode.

Immediately boasting a new-found obsession with grappling his adversary into submission, Strong squeezed the life out of Hale before connecting with a sweet jumping knee and locking in an underhook/armbar submission for the victory.

Malcom Bivens quickly took to the mic after this, proclaiming that this was merely the beginning for his no-nonsense unit, standing alongside Tyler Rust and the newly renamed Hachiman. As far as first nights on the job go, Diamond Mine got off to a dominant start here, with Strong looking like a man possessed and focused on proving exactly why he was the Undisputed Era's real unsung hero.

Hopefully we get to see Hachiman strut his stuff soon enough and Rust display a much needed edge to his game too. If so, Diamond Mine may just have a shot at becoming a violent delight on a weekly basis.
