1. Honky Tonk Amore

Enzo Amore escaped with his Cruiserweight Championship Monday night after being battered, bloodied and bruised up, losing via countout to Cedric Alexander.

After building Alexander up the past couple months in singles and tag matches, it felt like WWE was in a position to pull the trigger, and they hesitated. Sure, the blood was accidental, but it had created a pretty nice visual, where Cedric pinning a crimson-masked Enzo would have been a great moment.

Instead, Alexander had to celebrate a countout win while Michael Cole talked about him getting another shot – maybe at the 25th anniversary of Raw or at the Royal Rumble. Still, it was another title “defense” for Amore.
