7 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 23)

2. Roode Gets Played By Elias

One of the Burning Questions asked before Raw was about what was next for Bobby Roode. After being revealed as the final pick in the Superstar Shakeup, it seemed like Roode was destined for big things on Raw.

And then he came out on his first full night on Raw and slipped on a banana peel and lost.

Well, it wasn’t quite like that, but Elias basically caught Roode on the ropes as he climbed back into the ring, rolled him up and got a fairly clean victory over the Glorious One. Bobby has gone from being United States Champion to jobbing to Elias (who is no joke, but isn’t defeating up-and-comers either) in less than two months.

If this is leading to Roode becoming frustrated and finally turning heel (a character he’s well-suited to play), then that’s one thing. But right now, it just was a dumb move.
