7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (April 27)

3. Nia Jax Push #278

Before she landed on the injured list a year ago, Nia Jax was part of a tag team that couldn’t win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. She also lost singles matches to Ronda Rousey, Sasha Banks and Bayley Hardly the dominant force that WWE tries to portray her as.

That’s the story of Nia’s WWE career: Get pushed as an absolute monster, choke at some point, lose a bunch of matches, get pushed again, win a big match, lose, repeat.

So watching Jax toss around Asuka and Shayna Baszler Monday night, and then screech at Charly Caruso doesn’t exactly make you feel like this time is going to be any different. Plus, this comes a week after Nia ragdolled and carelessly tossed poor Kairi Sane into the turnbuckles last week.

Worse, WWE decided to use this apparent botch as part of her push Monday night, showing the video to demonstrate how dangerous Jax is. That’s a shoot comment that isn’t intended to be a shoot comment.
