7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 16)

2. It’s True, It’s Damn True

Kurt Angle 2017 Inductee
WWE.com

If you didn’t get chills when you heard “Medal” blare, announcing the return of Kurt Angle to the WWE family, then you’re a heartless individual.

Angle last appeared in WWE in 2006 before departing to TNA for a decade. But it was during his WWE tenure that the Olympic gold medalist established himself as possibly the best in-ring competitor of his generation and one of the most entertaining overall performers the company had during the Attitude Era.

And now, Angle is the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. You can call it overdue, you can rejoice that he’s back, and you can bet fans are now actively clamoring over whether this means a return to a WWE ring for Kurt.

Of course, Angle will be wrestling for our sister promotion WCPW in the main event of the upcoming True Destiny iPPV in Milton Keynes on February 12.
