7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 16)

8. Mistaken Identity

If you watch NXT regularly, then you saw WWEs developmental territory represented on Raw Monday night. Tag team jobbers Corey Hollis and John Skyler have battled on NXT multiple times in recent months, and despite losing constantly, theyve gotten enough offense and face time to be recognizable.

But apparently, we were supposed to think they were someone else. Hollis and Skyler were tag team jobbers for the re-debuting Primo and Epico, who called them local North Carolinians. During the match, Michael Cole referred to them as Scott Jackson (Skyler) and Brian Kennedy (Hollis). He called them this even though their tights had their NXT ring names on them.

Maybe thats just WWEs way of protecting their talent, by pretending they were someone else. Or maybe WWE thinks no one who watches NXT watches Raw. Or maybe someone in WWE was having deliberate fun with such an obvious gaffe.
