7. Daydream Becomes A Nightmare
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGbr0KVmnNg Once again, product placement reared its ugly head during Raw, as wrestlers were forced to take part in an in-show commercial. Last time it was Paige stealing a Payday candy bar. This time, Mark Henry, El Torito and JBL helped shill a Tex Mex burger from Hardees. Its understandable that the performers are going to be called upon to sell products during broadcasts. Thats not the negative in and of itself. Randy Savage shilled for Slim Jims for years and become more of a household name because of it. But doing the commercial in the flow of the show in this case, the announcers threw directly the segment is just dumb. Air it as a bumper on the way out to commercial while people are still watching. But dont do something like this, especially when we get Mark Henry daydreaming and then we get to see his daydream. Thats just poor.
