9. Stop Trying To Make Fetch Happen

Nothing’s worse than when someone tries to force a catchphrase on the fans and make it a thing. It very rarely works. Probably the best at it was the Rock, who at his height could get fans to chant “Hamburglar” at the Hurricane and “Fruity Pebbles” at John Cena.
But by and large, it’s really tough to force fans to accept a catchphrase. So when Seth Rollins kept calling Chris Jericho “Sparkle Crotch” repeatedly, you couldn’t help but cringe a little. Sure, fans chanted it for a few seconds during the promo and again during the match, but Seth almost felt like he was begging them to do so by repeating it a half-dozen times (and Jericho even yelled it during the match just to drive it home even more).
It’s a bad attempt at forced humor. One reference was amusing, but by the fourth time, it felt like Rollins was going to actively try to lead the crowd in a chant, one fan at a time.
