8 HUGE WWE Day 1 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

3. Becky Lynch (c) Vs. Liv Morgan

Via sly means or not, we all know Becky Lynch can defeat Liv Morgan because we've already seen it done.

This is one of many complaints at the heart of growing viewer disillusionment with the WWE product. Whereas once the conversation in early December would have been "Will Becky Lynch Vs Liv Morgan be saved for Day 1 or used as a big Raw match?" the answer is now always "both". More if there's more shows to fill - they'd have battled covered head-to-toe in custom gear if there'd been a Saudi Arabia show to fit in as well.

A worrying add-on to all of this is that the combination simply hasn't elevated Morgan in the way many had hoped. The initial contest was okay, but the promos have been weak and Liv's commendable self-built fanbase may have a longer wait to see her truly ascend to the top of the card.

A noble failure here would, in strange WWE lore, see her booked as something of a favourite for the Royal Rumble. For now, that (and, ideally, a really great match here) is about as good as it's going to get.

Winner - Becky Lynch
