8 Mistakes WWE Have Already Made With Jason Jordan's Push
1. Not Turning Him Heel
WWE want Jason Jordan to be the new Kurt Angle, this much is clear. He has the moveset, the wrestling background, and the patriotism to make it all happen. But while these might be what brought Angle to the dance, it was his entitlement, arrogance, and brilliant heel tactics that made him a main event figure.
Jordan is in the perfect position to mirror that self-righteous arrogance - claiming his pedigree makes him superior and more deserving than his opposition. He's been handed the biggest opportunity of his lifetime and a clear connection with backstage management - exploiting that and bragging about it only seems natural. He could even adopt Angle's old patronising motto of "Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence" as he so openly flouts the second of The Three I's.
Both in and out of kayfabe, the most reviled heel in modern WWE is the company's own management, and from both perspectives, Jordan feels like he's receiving preferential treatment. There's no more surefire way to strengthen a wrestler's unpopularity than through this association - it's what got Seth Rollins over as the company's top heel, and the reason why Roman Reigns has entered to thunderous boos for several years. Hopefully, Jason Jordan can experience a similar level of success - he just needs to start playing against the fans rather than trying to win them over.
