It's safe to say that this same writer went in a little 2-footed on poor Nikki Bella over in the 'Ups & Downs' article for Clash In Paris. In fairness, her performance vs. Becky Lynch was a shambling mess of miscommunication and blown spots. Even the best of it failed to elicit much of a reaction from one of the hottest live crowds of the entire year, and that really speaks volumes about her work on Sunday.

Sadly, Bella resembled a relic from a bygone era vs. Becky over in Paris. They had the worst match on the show, so it’d be for the best if Brie came in for a short tag run or WWE found Nikki a different partner and protected her in doubles matches. There’s no call to see her stink up the place like that again. Was it an off night? Perhaps, but the standard expected of title bouts in the women's division is much, much higher than Bella's latest effort.

There's no getting away from that. Lynch and Lyra Valkyria showed the way before this latest mini-feud took over, and there's been some sparkling work from the likes of Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Naomi, Bianca Belair, Tiffany Stratton and others in 2025. Clash's Women's IC bout just ain't gonna cut it.

The Bella Twins going after the Women's Tag-Team Titles could work. Failing that, if Brie can't/won't come in, then stick Nikki with someone like Natalya for a while and have them do a repeat "Divas Of Doom" gimmick. That's got to be better than the alternative we all suffered through this past weekend.
