8 Times WWE's Triple H Was A DISASTER-TIER Booker
4. The Women's United States Championship
The public outcry for women's midcard titles was finally heard during Triple H's era. The level of talent on the WWE women's roster calls for more than just one singles title for each brand, and the Intercontinental Championship is now highly coveted thanks to the superb work of Becky Lynch (and it's not just us saying that, etc.).
However, the United States Championship has been a far more underwhelming proposition. Chelsea Green was a popular first winner of the title, and her run with the belt was satisfying and fun, as Chelsea really ran with the USA theme, and it felt as though the championship would be able to kick on from there. What has happened since, though, has been a lack of emphasis on the belt and a considerable drop in the prestige of that title.
Winners are seemingly picked at random, with feuds not being fully developed around the championship. Green and Michin had a great thing going during that first run, but Zelena Vega and Giulia have suffered from winning the belt under shock circumstances and having nothing of substance to build upon. It's early days for the Women's United States Championship, but it is in urgent need of more care and attention from Triple H and his booking team.
