6. Grizzled Old Veterans

Making a rather valid point in stating that MSK seem to be happy to take on anyone but the true leaders of NXT's current tag team division, Zack Gibson and James Drake commandeered the black and gold squared-circle to make their point known.

However, they aren't the only pair of Grizzled Veterans currently plying their trade in a fiercely competitive NXT tag team scene. 'Toothless' Timmy Thatcher, making his first CWC appearance in weeks, and Tommaso Ciampa were soon out to spoil the party, with the former informing GYV of the research he has been conducting on the one-time NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

Hilariously, Timmy recounted the night of NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff, an evening which saw the entire audience raise a shoe in the air to the sound of "Shoes Off, If You Hate Gibson!" This wasn't merely a way of brassing off the ruthless unit, though, as Ciampa took Thatcher's rendition of the chant as an opportunity to strike, nailing Gibson with his own boot before the two chased off the vexed vets.

Though, as Ciampa noted, these two teams have already met in recent times, with GYV coming out on top in the Dusty Classic, any excuse to watch four grizzled beasts beat the living piss out of one another can't be passed up on. So a future number one contenders match between the squads seems like a bit of a no-brainer.
