8 Wrestling Society X Wrestlers Who Went On To Bigger Things

3. TJ Perkins

Long before winning the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, TJ Perkins wrestled in WSX as Puma. Mostly relegated to dark matches after appearing in a battle royal on the inaugural episode, Perkins asked to be released from his contract with the short-lived promotion.

After WSX, he worked in numerous NWA territories and indie promotions before going on to wow increasingly smaller crowds in TNA as Suicide, and later Manik, as part of the waning X-Division. A former X-Division champion, Perkins later appeared in the Cruiserweight Classic and had dynamite matches with the likes of Gran Metalik, Johnny Gargano, and Kota Ibushi en route to winning the whole damn thing and becoming the first Cruiserweight champion of the New Purple Era.

Unfortunately, he now finds himself in 205 Live purgatory on the main roster as TJP, but hey, we'll always have fond memories of his work in the CWC, which was light-years beyond the scraps he got in WSX.
