1. Samoa Joe Returns To Ring Of Honor

…and signs for All Elite Wrestling too!

Returning to a monstrous babyface reception, Joe stomped out to send Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt packing after they’d laid a beating on Jonathan Gresham and Lethal’s earlier opponent Lee Moriarty.

’The Samoan Submission Machine’ looked dominant, helped the babyfaces up (with partial endorsements, for now) then cut a promo about how thrilled he was to be back in Ring Of Honor.

Tony Khan returned to the stage to greet him as he left, with the two toasting Joe‘s return to the place where he first made himself a major wrestling star. But this all turned out to be more than just a one shot deal or nostalgia kick.

Khan announced on Twitter before he headed out that Joe had also signed for AEW, with the signature #AllElite graphic as is now tradition. Delivering on the promise of a surprise as well as providing a hot start to ROH’s “new era”, the show’s conclusion set a promising stall out for the months ahead.
