AJ Lee has been the top Diva performer in WWE for well over two years now and it is not difficult to see why. Able to mesh in-ring work with character nuisances and mic skills, she connected with an audience desperate for something new and fresh from the Divas division. Early in 2014, AJ celebrated her status as the longest-reigning Divas champion of all-time, infuriating nearly every one of her peers in the process. This led to the Vickie Guerrero Invitational match at WrestleMania XXX, where AJ defeated every one of the main roster women to retain her title. Unfortunately, her arrogance got the best of her. One night later, she offered to put her title up for grabs against a debuting Paige. She lost. Two months later, she returned from a brief hiatus and regained the title, defeating Paige in a scenario almost identical to the one in which she lost the championship. The two incredibly talented Divas traded the title back-and-forth before AJ reigned supreme, vanquishing her raven-haired rival and moving onto Nikki Bella. The unexpected reunion between the Bella Twins proved costly to AJ as she lost the Divas title to Nikki, then fell victim to more chicanery by the evil siblings at TLC, ending her year on a sour note. With WrestleMania on the horizon, do not be surprised to see WWEs resident Black Widow right back in the title mix. Whether she can overcome the reality show stars remains to be seen.
