5. RybAxel (2014)

It's pretty easy to pick on Ryback. Over his short WWE career — and even post WWE — the Big Guy has given fans plenty of juicy material to remember him by. Among the things he may never live down is his 2014 run with Curtis Axel as part of the team RybAxel. Forget how little the team actually won, the name alone suggested WWE simply gave up trying.

Proving Paul Heyman can't help everyone, RybAxel was formed after a CM Punk and Heyman storyline came to a sudden stop and an experiment to make Axel and Ryback "Paul Heyman guys" didn't pan out. Mutual spite for Heyman brought them together. The fact they were an utterly dry pairing tore them apart.

During their run they faced teams like The Usos, Prime Time Players, and Los Matadores — to say the least, this wasn't an especially wonderful period for tag teams. It took less than a year for Ryback and Axel as a duo to be pushed aside and exit the minds of the WWE Universe. When things finally ended, few people actually realized it. They competed on an episode of Raw in August of 2014, then didn't appear again until WWE finally decided to call them broken up in November.
