9 Next WWE Steps For Randy Orton
5. Randy Orton Vs. AJ Styles
Following the Survivor Series PPV, you’ve got to assume that Wyatt and Orton will probably be done with one another. Maybe they’ll have one final bow-off match at the TLC show on Dec. 4, but even if that’s the case, it won’t be too long before Orton’s gaze is cast elsewhere.
And what better direction in which to cast that gaze than towards the current WWE World Champion, AJ Styles.
For starters, this would enable Orton to return to the lofty heights of the world title picture, somewhere that he undoubtedly belongs, what with the fact that he already has a dozen such title reigns under his belt.
Yet even more importantly than that, this would present us with one of the few remaining dream matches (on the main roster, at least) that the company haven’t yet exhausted.
Orton and Styles have of course never crossed paths in a ring before - not in WWE, TNA, or anywhere else on the entire planet. That in itself should be enough to have fans salivating at the prospect of this possible meeting, and thus a great direction for SmackDown to pursue once the Orton vs. Wyatt feud runs its course.
