1. A Potential Draft

With the brand split comes the potential for a draft, and there aren’t many more exciting things in WWE than seeing the respective main rosters get shaken up. 2017 had a Superstar Shake-Up, and those moves gave us dominant heel Alexa Bliss, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, The Sami and Kevin Show and a whole lot more.

What can we expect from a potential draft in 2018? Certain superstars are very much in need of new surroundings, none more so than The Usos, Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. Will they move shows in the new year? WWE rarely gets the draft completely correct, but the process is fascinating enough to make for good television.

WWE has a staggering amount of talent at its disposal, and fans worldwide will have an idea of their preferred rosters. A draft is likely to take place immediately following WrestleMania 34, as WWE shuffles its pack ahead of the next 12 months. It can make or break a superstar’s career, not to mention the company’s year as a whole.

Will 2018 be a year to remember for WWE fans? Time will ultimately be the judge of that of course, but there are plenty of reasons for optimism heading into the new year.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
