9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Turning Point 2020
1. Enough Is Enough
Here we are again, Brian Myers being in the joke position of the card. 'The Most Professional Wrestler's match with Swoggle was never going to be anything above fine, but using 'fine' to describe this is a push.
Myers insisted 'The King of Small Style' simply lay down for him, something the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion didn't take too kindly to. From there, though, it was mostly all Myers. Now, despite the clear size difference, that's not to say Swoggle didn't have some decent spots, namely a lovely cutter to a kneeling Brian Myers.
Kicking out of a Tadpole Splash gave the artist formerly known as Curt Hawkins the chance to clothesline Swoggle off his feet for the win. Even though he won the match, it didn't save Brian Myers here, as he was then chased out of the ring post-match by Crazzy Steve. Why he decided to get involved is beyond this writer's imagination.
Since he debuted in Impact, Myers has spent his time jumping from rivalry to rivalry, without any of them having a proper, definitive ending. Willie Mack, Tommy Dreamer, Swoggle, and now Crazzy Steve it appears. When Myers came from WWE to Impact, this isn't what anyone could have predicted him doing. He can be one hell of a wrestler - why he isn't being given the platform to show this is crazy.
