9 Wrestling Stipulations That Are Better Than Getting Fired

1. John Cena Gets Punished As Team Captain

If there was one important lesson from this past week€™s RAW, it€™s that John Cena is not a good team captain. He didn€™t come out to help Ziggler when he was ambushed before his title match against Luke Harper, nor did he come out to intervene in the match between Big Show and Sheamus to keep peace, nor did he come out to save them from Mark Henry and Rusev. Despite the brawl at the end of the show on Monday, Cena still comes off as an ineffective captain, whose team is barely holding together. As such, it would make perfect sense for Cena to get punished for his team€™s loss at Survivor Series. Cena, being a man of honor, would admit on the RAW after Survivor Series that he failed his team because of his poor leadership. Then, the Authority would have him face off against his former teammates in some less-than-fair matches, to punish him for defying them as well as for failing his team. It would not only make the match at Survivor Series more exciting, but would also give Cena a chance to make up for his failures on RAW. The commentators could hype how Cena failed as a leader, and how a win would be crucial for his team as well as for Cena to maintain the respect of his peers. A failure in this regard would change how his fellow Superstars view him, which would make a far more interesting storyline than the current dynamic between Cena and the Authority. In the end, firing all of Team Cena was a poor choice of stipulation to add. Virtually any other stipulation would€™ve worked to a greater degree, and the nine on this list would€™ve at least made things more interesting. Alas, most fans can already read between the lines and can predict that Team Cena will win. If only a different direction were taken, then maybe this problem wouldn€™t have happened.
