Gooker had a bit of charm about it. An earnest attempt and creating a company mascot that could do backflips to entertain the kids in between the matches. On the 30th anniversary of its debut it won and lost a title without entering the ring in matches that included ninjas.
There's been a recent movement online to stop using 2000 WCW as the short-form when talking about bad wrestling when present day WWE is stood right there. Perhaps its time to afford the Gooker its own well-deserved respite. Here we are, in the future, and the giant f*cking chicken man was the least stupidest bit of this.
