9 WWE Survivor Series 2020 Impulse Reactions

3. Team Raw Vs. Team SmackDown (Women)

A below-par Survivor Series match was almost saved by its best moments. Liv Morgan showed excellent fire. Peyton Royce suplexing Bayley from the top turnbuckle through a crowd on the floor was wild, as was the catch Kirifuda Clutch Shayna Baszler applied to Bianca Belair before she was disqualified. Belair shone too. She always does.

But that's not what any of this was ever really about.

Nia Jax put Lana through a table nine times to build up this 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match between the Raw and SmackDown rosters. That was just one problem with the build to this match, no matter how morbidly entertaining the spot was.

Their "rivalry" has outlasted Raw Underground and numerous 2020 title reigns, and stood as the lone storyline ingredient in this match beyond the colour of the each combatant's gear. Here it pivoted to one of purer bullying, and to such a degree that Lana seemed close to finally garnering earnest sympathy before she was booked like a loser as a winner in what would be a staggering achievement if it was deeply upsetting.

But she survived by the virtue of two others getting counted out and dodged a table for another 24 hours, so...top babyface?
