9 WWE Wrestlers For Whom 2017 Is Make Or Break
7. Apollo Crews
What has happened to Apollo Crews? The man who looks like Vince McMahon’s wet dream and wrestles like a cruiserweight has fallen completely off the radar in the second half of 2016, and must be beginning to have doubts about whether signing for the WWE was the right move. Crews is on SmackDown Live, something you would be forgiven for forgetting.
Will WWE get behind him again next year? It may do his career some good if he returned to NXT, to the developmental world he left after WrestleMania 32. Crews’ time in NXT was short to say the least, and a longer run on the yellow brand would probably help him regain some of the swagger and confidence that is sorely missing right now.
Failing that, put him in a tag team with his best buddy Tozawa and let the two just put on barnburner after barnburner after barnburner. Regardless of what happens, 2017 needs to a year where the former Uhaa Nation stands up and becomes the force he clearly should be.
