To this date, Brock Lesnar has won a total of seven championships in WWE. Four of those championships were the WWE Championship, while the remaining three were the Universal Championship.

Today, this figure may not be quite as surprising, as it is now nearly impossible to book Lesnar as anything less than a World Championship contender. But in his first run from 2002-2004, it would not have been too outside of the realm of possibility for Lesnar to have been, say, a Tag Team Champion or a US Champion.

Turns out, even in the Ruthless Aggression Era, Vince McMahon could not imagine putting a belt on Lesnar if it wasn't a World Championship.

Over the course of two years, he held the WWE Championship for a combined 355 days across three reigns. When Lesnar shockingly returned to WWE in 2012, it was only a matter of time before he won another world title... well, sort of.

From the date of his return, it took Lesnar over two years to win the WWE Championship again, as he convincingly beat then-champion John Cena at 2014's SummerSlam. Though he never reclaimed the WWE Championship after losing it to an opportunistic Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31, he would win the Universal Championship from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 in 2017. He had two more Universal Championship reigns after this, totaling 688 days with the big red belt.

He is scheduled to challenge Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship on SmackDown's debut on FOX on October 6, so perhaps an eighth world title is on the horizon. But clearly, any title that isn't a world title is not.
