AEW: Ranking Every 2020 Signing's Run From Best To Worst
19. Austin Gunn
Austin Sopp (yes, that's his real name) formally signed with All Elite Wrestling in January this year. Before following his famous father to Jacksonville, Austin had previously worked for Ring of Honor, where he placed second in their Top Prospect Tournament in 2019.
Since joining AEW, Gunn has almost exclusively been seen alongside his dad Billy, and later his brother Colten. The Gunn Club have mostly been confined to AEW Dark this year, but Austin has been a constant presence at ringside as part of the company's makeshift audience, and he even got the main event spot of Dynamite when teaming alongside his father and Cody Rhodes in a six-man against the Dark Order.
Not bad considering this was his first ever match on Dynamite.
Since then, Austin has been back on Dark, where he only suffered one loss through 2020. In fact, as a unit with his father, Austin is undefeated in tag team matches. This begs the question - why haven't Billy and Austin got a Tag Team Championship match yet? Wins and losses mean something, right? Right?!
Anyway, Austin's been fairly lowkey this year, but with a pedigree like his and a spot in the Nightmare Family already secured, he's definitely one to watch.
