Injured WWE star Edge was on Busted Open Radio earlier this week, giving the world an update on his recovery as part of his appearance.

In short, things aren't going as well as he may have hoped, with 'The Rated R Superstar' saying he may have set unrealistic expectations after comparing this healing process one he underwent over a decade ago.

"It's a learning process because I'm going to be 47 next month, so I didn't know how I would heal from injuries and surgery," he said. "It's a slow process. I got back from an Achilles in six months but I was 35 doing that, so add 10-plus years. It's a different thing."

Edge added that everything is going "a lot slower than I thought it was going to be" and he doesn't know if this is down to the injury itself, or because he's older. "I don't know what it is but it's not as fast as I would have liked," he added.

Having returned in the 2020 Royal Rumble, Edge tore his triceps while wrestling Randy Orton in their Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at Backlash in June. All the best to him in his recovery.
