Having appeared on last night's Chicago-held edition of WWE Raw in an explosive promo segment, CM Punk's WrestleMania XL role has now been revealed.

That must-see 20 minutes culminated with Punk being confirmed to be on commentary at 'Mania XL for Seth Rollins' World Heavyweight Championship defence against Drew McIntyre. But man, this segment was that and a whole lot more.

Coming out to an obviously huge reaction from the Allstate Arena crowd, Punk noted how he's not medically cleared but that his mouth works ("April knows what I'm talking about"). From there, he floated the idea of hosting WrestleMania XL, teased WrestleMania coming to Chicago at some point, and then made mention of serving as a special referee, before the commentary role eventually was set in stone.

Roman Reigns was referenced, with Punk mentioning how they'll "see each other pretty soon", and shade was thrown at both Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, not to mention a namedrop of The Rock in between the Rollins and McIntyre comments. Even Jim Cornette's two podcasts were acknowledged by the Straight-Edge Superstar.

And with that, out came Drew McIntyre, with the Scottish Warrior and the Second City Saint exchanging brilliant, somewhat stiff remarks. In amongst that, Drew had a fantastic line about how Punk doesn't drink or do drugs, but he still spends so much time in rehab. For Punk, he even at one point dared McIntyre to name the person who originally donned him the Chosen One - that being the disgraced Vince McMahon.

It would be impossible to do justice to this entire segment, so you can watch the entire thing, including Seth Rollins' appearance, below:

Fantastic work from all three men, particularly CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, and this is a segment that's sure to live long in the memory and certainly brings some new energy to the Rollins vs. McIntyre rivalry.
