CM Punk is a wind up.

On 28 February 2010, WWE rolled into Abilene, Texas for another house show date on their 'Road To WrestleMania XXVI' tour. In the main event, Edge teamed with John Morrison to face CM Punk and Chris Jericho, but the two Canadians in the party had something else weighing heavily on their minds.

Edge told the '31 Thoughts' podcast that he and Jericho were totally distracted by the Gold Medal ice hockey game between Canada and the United States. When Punk came to them and tried to plan out stuff for the match, they were barely interested. The game was on, man!

Sidney Crosby scored an overtime game-winner just as music for the headliner started ringing out over the PA, and neither Jericho nor Edge knew what was waiting for them on the other side of the curtain. Throughout the match, Punk refused to tag Y2J in. In fact, he went out of his way to ensure that Jericho remained on the apron.

Fans in Abilene were mighty confused that the reigning World Champ, who was feuding with Edge at the time, hardly worked a lick. That was all Punk's doing though - Edge thinks he was p*ssed that they'd decided to watch the hockey rather than map out the main.
