Exact Moments 10 Wrestlers Knew They Were Done With WWE

1. The Ambrose Inoculation

"I don't care how many zeroes you want to put on a piece of paper, I am gone".

Those words, spoken by Jon Moxley on 'Talk Is Jericho' in May 2019, reflected the disgust AEW's finest had for Vince McMahon's writing style. The prior year, one short segment on the 26 November edition of Raw had shattered any hope the then-Dean Ambrose had for better things under McMahon's umbrella.

In it, Mox received a jab in the arse from some phoney doctor so he could become immune from a "disgusting, disease-riddled fanbase". This inoculation skit went against everything Jon wanted Dean Ambrose to be, but he couldn't convince McMahon that it sucked about as the same amount of creative pole as Mantaur or HLA and ended up doing his best with it.

Right there and then, as he struggled through Vince's dialogue, Moxley knew he was about to blow up and leave WWE. He went on to describe his relationship with McMahon as "Mentos and Diet Coke". Unlike that combo, few watching saw the funny side when footage leaked on YouTube.
