Hell In A Cell 2022 Rematch Set For Next Week's WWE Raw
Just when you thought this WWE Hell In A Cell 2022 feud was over...
Next week's episode of WWE Raw will host a Hell In A Cell 2022 rematch in Kevin Owens vs. Ezekiel.
Owens defeated Ezekiel on the 5 June premium live event, scoring the pinfall after hitting the Stunner following a couple of superkicks and a corner cannonball. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this was received well by the live crowd despite KO technically playing the heel in the feud.
Ezekiel moved on to face Otis on last night's Raw. A concise, two-minute bout played out, finishing with Ezekiel putting Otis' shoulders to the mat with a crucifix pin. He then grabbed the microphone and demanded a rematch with KO, who responded by saying that he was in a good mood, consenting to round two on the condition that Ezekiel admitted to being Elias in disguise.
KO ended the segment laid out, falling victim to a jumping knee after Ezekiel lied about being Elias in order to secure the rematch. It is now booked for next week's show.
This feud has been running since the Raw after WrestleMania 38 (4 April), during which the former Elias returned as Ezekiel, his old gimmick's purported younger brother. Owens' quest to rumble Ezekiel's true identity has formed the story's basis.
