What do you do if you've just signed the hottest property in pro-wrestling, fresh off one of the biggest controversies in the history of the business, and whose name is on the lips of every wrestling fan?

Dress him in a referee outfit for a contest involving a non-wrestler, then let him languish before shoving him in the nWo. Just another face in an oily sea that had grown into an ocean.

Hart's time in WCW was utterly miserable, and even as the founder and leader of the rebooted nWo 2000 faction he still couldn't gain much traction in the ailing company. His time with WCW - and his legendary wrestling career - came to an abrupt halt after a kick to the head from Goldberg left him nursing a concussion.

Still holding a heavy grudge with WWE after his betrayal in Montréal, after his WCW contract was terminated, a weary Hart largely stepped away from the business that had defined his life .

It was only in 2005 when the frosty relationship between 'the Hitman' and McMahon finally thawed, the former brought in to collaborate on a retrospective DVD of his career, before finally accepting a place in the Hall of Fame the following year.

Since then, Hart and WWE have been on relatively cordial terms, though the 'Best there Ever Was' has remained fairly consistent in his scathing criticism of company COO Triple H.

Earlier this year, Hart went public after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. A month after the announcement, Hart underwent successful surgery, and thankfully, looks to have beaten the disease.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
