Predicting The Next 10 Years Of WWE WrestleMania Main Events

A look into WWE's future from WrestleMania 31 to WrestleMania 40!

The last decade has flown by in the WWE. It doesn't seem like ten years since WrestleMania 20, yet we're now hurtling towards WrestleMania 31! The quality of Mania main events has tended to be high from 2004 - 2014, for example Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker, but what might we expect in the next decade? A new generation of stars are emerging, and we can make some educated guesses on what the next era of WrestleMania headliners will be. The events we will run through are WrestleMania 31 to WrestleMania 40. It might feel like some way off, but then doesn't it only feel like a while ago that Chris Benoit was making Triple H tap out in Madison Square Garden? Even back then, as WrestleMania 20's confetti fell, we had a pretty good idea of what WWE's future would be. Any observer could tell that John Cena was going to dominate the Mania 21 to Mania 30 decade. Other names, like Batista and Randy Orton, were also clearly positioned back in 2004 as future main eventers. So, who's the next generation to step up? There's a select group of talent that WWE are looking toward as their new stars. A mixture of youth and veterans will contest the future main events, all with the same aim to make glorious WrestleMania history. These are exciting times for us WWE fans, as the industry once again enters a transitional period. The long term franchise star John Cena is being moved into a role of Champion Emeritus, as the company looks to Roman Reigns as 'the new John Cena'. While Reigns is the outstanding candidate to be the next franchise star, there'll be numerous other upstarts joining him in the main events. Here we lay out WWE's roadmap for WrestleMania 31 to WrestleMania 40!
