Despite missing the vast majority of the last 12 months owing to his battle with Leukaemia, Roman Reigns finds himself retaining the 7th position he found himself in last year. While he's certainly dropped significantly from his previous role as WWE's unpopular main-event mainstay, he remains an integral part of the company's plans both in the ring and out.

In his absence, his former SHIELD colleague Seth Rollins has been anointed as the top baby-face-de-jour, but feuds with Drew McIntyre, Shan McMahon, Drew McIntyre (again) and now Daniel Bryan have kept his stock high with a fanbase far more receptive to him. Under normal circumstances he'd be a compelling heel turn away from cementing himself as bonafide dynasty, but WWE look set to have him plan the Cena role in their many PR ventures.

Away from his medical history and position within the minds of the money men, only the most stubborn critics still maintain that Roman "can't wrestle". Despite his enforced absence, he's slowly building a rich catalogue of top quality PPV matches, of which the upcoming blow-offs with Bryan will likely be a centre-piece of.
