Randy Orton: 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

4. Randy Orton Vs. Sheamus (RAW - April 2013)

This graphic haunts me to my core. The worst thing you can ever hear on RAW is that later on the show you'll be subjected to watching Randy Orton take on Sheamus. It's not that either of them are bad wrestlers or anything, it's just a combination of the chemistry not really being there and the fans not reacting positively to the Irishman and the Viper locking horns. It doesn't help that we've been subject to it approximately 6,749 times over the years, either. I was present for the post-WrestleMania RAW in New Jersey in 2013. It was a stacked show with Dolph Ziggler cashing-in his briefcase to become World Champion and Undertaker having a staredown with The Shield It had all been well-received...and then WWE sent out Orton and Sheamus, and the crowd completely s**t all over it. If you watch the match back on the Network, the reason that people turned on it is because at the time, the two stars were both in bland babyface positions on the roster and there was nothing for the audience to invest in. The crowd were so uninterested in the bout that there were chants for JBL, Jerry Lawler, Randy Savage and many others.] Pretty much everything but what was going on in the ring got some attention. You can see Randy Orton getting visibly annoyed because fans weren't giving him a chance but, on that night, there was no way Orton and Sheamus were going to be allowed to have a good match by that crowd. For that reason, it rates as one of Orton's worst matches.
