7. WWE Championship Six Pack Challenge (Night Of Champions 2010)

2010 was a big year for Orton: disbanding Legacy and defeating both of his former teammates at WrestleMania XXVI saw him turn face for the first time since 2005.

A brief hiccup arrived in the form of a separated shoulder in May, but he was back in action and, come September, at Night of Champions, he found himself competing in a Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship.

Orton was just about the only guy in the match to be unanimously cheered, with that support only making his eventual victory even sweeter. And unlike many of his other World title wins, this one was much less opportunistic.

Helping himself to three of the match’s five eliminations, Orton first sent Chris Jericho packing after less than 90 seconds, before another RKO finished off Wade Barrett and, minutes later, Sheamus suffered the very same fate to wrap up a memorable victory.

At the time, Orton was clearly in peak condition, with a fluidity in the ring that few could rival and generally wrestling at the top of his game - with this WWE title win a testament to that.
