Ranking Every Champion In WWE Right Now

3. Dean Ambrose - WWE IC Title

Dean Ambrose is one of the company€™s newest champions, defeating Kevin Owens at TLC to give him his first reign with the Intercontinental Title, a championship he€™s been looking to claim since early 2015 in the Ladder Match at WrestleMania. The title itself has seen its ups and downs over the last year, but the battle between Owens and Ambrose alone made it a far more interesting feature than anything Ryback did as the titleholder. Dean Ambrose is very closely affiliated with the top dog in WWE, Roman Reigns, which at a glace could be damaging, but that doesn't seem to have harmed the Lunatic Fringe just yet, as Ambrose doesn€™t allow Roman Reigns€™ success to overshadow his own. Ambrose has shined bright alongside his friend, but has also held his own on huge occasions such as the Steel Cage match against Sheamus on Raw not long ago, and the incredible Intercontinental Title defence against Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler on Smackdown. He€™s still locked in a feud with former champion Owens, and the ferocity that both men are adopting in their highly personal rivalry only serves to make the Intercontinental Championship one of WWE€™s most intriguing features. The two will likely find themselves squaring off a final time at the Royal Rumble, and you have to believe that similar to the Triple Threat Match at last year€™s event, this one will be a show-stealer. Dean Ambrose seems to be doing a lot of good for the title despite a short reign thus far, so hopefully he doesn€™t drop it until WWE finally decides to give him a big main event rivalry with Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
